September 2016 Wrap UP

BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS. This month I finished a grand total of four books! Not terrible for a reading slump month. If you look back to my September TBR, you’ll see that I read three (and started a fourth) of my planned five books. I’m insanely grateful for audiobooks and authors like V.E. Schwab for reforming a slump-y month into something more decent.

The Family Fang | Kevin Wilson

Clockwork Angel (Audiobook) | Cassandra Clare

The Regional Office is Under Attack! | Manuel Gonzales

A Gathering of Shadows | V.E. Schwab

I’ve also started reading Vicious (AHH SO GOOD) by V.E. Schwab, but won’t finish it before
the end of the month. Look for it in next month’s wrap up!

A Gathering of Shadows DEFINITELY and without contest won this spot. After taking three weeks to finish The Family Fang and The Regional Office is Under Attack!, I was in a definitive slump. Then, dun dun DUN, I picked up Shadows, which is a sequel to A Darker Shade of Magic. I finished it in two days. I fangirled so hard and basically squealed through the last half of the book (just ask my boyfriend).

If you haven’t read these books yet, WHY ON EARTH HAVE YOU NOT? GO. NOW. STOP READING THIS. READ THE BOOKS INSTEAD. Seriously. They’re two of my favorite books that I’ve read recently, and some of the best fantasy I’ve ever read. I expect the trilogy will become one of my all-time favorites once it’s finished.
